Two of the NBA’s most exciting teams are set to face off in an interconference matchup on Saturday. The Denver Nuggets will host the Brooklyn Nets at Ball Arena. Denver has lost two of its last three games since going on an impressive run without Jamal Murray and will look to get back on track against a Brooklyn team that’s dropped three straight. It’s no secret that the Nets are too poorly equipped defensively to handle Nikola Jokic, but the Nets have a clear edge in several other areas. Michael Porter Jr. is proving that he can go toe to toe with the league’s best scorers, but the Nuggets’ guard rotation has been devasted by yet another injury. There’s no timeline for PJ Dozier’s return from the hip injury he suffered against the Los Angeles Lakers earlier in the week. That leaves Facundo Campazzo and Austin Rivers as Denver’s top two guards. Both are below-average defenders and one will have to deal with Kyrie Irving all night. MPJ isn’t quite a plus defender just yet, and matchups don’t get tougher than Kevin Durant. Brooklyn has been banged-up all year and boasts a 5-1 record ATS in its last six games against Denver.

Player Prop: Kevin Durant to record a double-double (+225)

Durant is having an average rebounding year, but his efforts on the glass have increased as of late. He’s notched three double-doubles in his last five games while averaging and tallied at least nine rebounds in four games during that stretch. Two of those performances came against a Milwaukee Bucks squad that grabs more boards per game than any team in the NBA.
