Moneyline pick, best player prop for Red Sox vs. Orioles on Friday

We go over some of the best betting options for Friday’s matchup between the Boston Red Sox and Baltimore Orioles.

Let’s just hope this game gets played. The forecast tonight in Baltimore does not look baseball-friendly, so keep an eye on the skies if you’re investing in this AL East matchup. The division-leading Red Sox are coming off a home sweep of the Tigers. The Orioles may not be particularly good, but they have been at least frisky of late as they just won four of six games on a West Coast road trip.

Red Sox vs. Orioles, 7:05 p.m. ET

Moneyline pick: Red Sox -157

Matt Harvey has actually been stellar in his last couple of turns, including six innings with one run allowed in a victory over the Yankees in late April. However, Eduardo Rodriguez is clearly the better pitcher in this duel. I’ll put my trust in him and a Boston offense that leads MLB in runs scored.

Player Prop: Xander Bogaerts OVER 0.5 RBIs (+132)

Bogaerts has been on fire since the calendar flipped to May. He is 10-for-21 with five RBIs in five games this month. Batting cleanup in this fearsome lineup, he’ll have his run-producing opportunities tonight against Harvey. Bogaerts hit .313 with a 1.139 OPS at Camden Yards during the shortened 2020 season.
