In one of the last games to tip-off Friday, we have the New York Knicks playing the Phoenix Suns at 10:00 p.m. ET. The last time these two teams played each other, the Suns defeated the Knicks 118-108 at Madison Square Garden on Apr. 26.
The Knicks are in the midst of a five-game road-trip, where they suffered a rough 113-97 loss to the Denver Nuggets on Wednesday. Despite the loss, New York has a 3-2 record in its last five games and is 8-2 in its last 10. The Suns had their five-game win streak come to an end on Wednesday, losing 135-103 to the Atlanta Hawks. Phoenix has a 4-1 record in its last five games and is 7-3 in its last 10. We’ll go over some ideal picks on DraftKings Sportsbook centered around the game here.
Knicks vs. Suns, 10:00 p.m. ET, NBA League Pass
Pick ATS: Knicks +6.5
The Knicks are looking to avenge their defeat to the Suns last month at MSG and also put themselves in great position to have a winning road trip. New York is the fourth seed in the Eastern Conference playoffs, but could fall a couple of spots depending on how this road trip wraps. The Hawks, who currently own the fifth spot, are only a game behind the Knicks, while the Celtics are the sixth seed and 2.0 games behind.
That being said, it is imperative for New York finish 2-1 or even 3-0 in their last three games on this road trip. The Knicks only have two players on the injury report as Alec Burks and Immanuel Quickley are both listed as doubtful. New York is 15-2 against the spread in their last 17 games, but 0-5 ATS in their last five games vs. the Suns. Additionally, they are 7-1 ATS in their last eight road games and 21-12 against the spread away from the Garden this year.
Meanwhile, the Suns will look to get back into the top spot in the West after getting blitzed by Atlanta a couple of days ago. Phoenix is only one game behind the Jazz for first, but the Los Angeles Clippers are lurking and only 2.5 games behind the Suns for second place. To say that this game is a must-win is an understatement. If Phoenix wants to have homecourt throughout the playoffs, they need to pick up this out of conference win. The last time these teams played each other, Chris Paul had one of his best games this season. The future Hall of Fame point guard recorded 20 points (8-12 FG, 2-3 3pt), 6 assists, and 5 rebounds. The Suns are 4-2 against the spread in their last six games and 4-2 ATS when they are listed as the favorite.
Player Prop: Reggie Bullock O12.5 points (+100)
This player prop has been a consistent good play as it once again cashed out for us on Wednesday. Therefore, we are going to play it one more time at plus money. Bullock has been a consistent scoring threat on the floor for the Knicks since the All-Star break.
The 30-year-old has scored 10 or more points in 13 straight games. In New York’s last five games, he has gone over 12.5 points four times. When the Knicks played the Suns at MSG last month, Bullock had 17 points on 6-of-11 shooting from the field and 4-of-8 from three-point range.
