Rookie quarterback dynasty rankings for 2021 fantasy football

Trevor Lawrence and Trey Lance sit atop the 2021 fantasy football dynasty rankings. Will they make an impact for your team this season?

Can Trey Lance start over Jimmy G in Week 1?

The NFL Draft is in the books and that means it is time to rank the rookies for dynasty leagues and for this endeavor, the rookie quarterbacks. Quarterbacks don’t have a ton of value in 1QB leagues, so you likely won’t see Trevor Lawrence and company in my overall Top-10, but if this were a 2QB or superflex league, they would be.

This is a good year to have an early pick in 2QB and superflex dynasty leagues. The top quarterback choices got a boost with their landing spots. Lawrence didn’t really need a bosst, but he went to a team that had the most draft capital in the league by a wide margin. That gives him a strong base to build into the NFL quarterback he should become.

Trey Lance went to the 49ers instead of Mac Jones, which was a big boon to Lance. Shanahan’s offensive genius coupled with Lance’s dual threat ability should pay fantasy dividends right away.

Justin Fields landed in the worst spot for quick offensive production, but I like his ability enough to overlook the Bears history of rotting.

Mac Jones landed in New England and is the most Brady-like quarterback in the draft. He’ll have a good chance to flourish in that offense. Zach Wilson feels like the biggest wildcard here, but he’s going to have two first-round studs protecting his blindside. He’ll be set up well to succeed.
