A year ago, the PGA Tour headed to Colonial in Fort Worth, Texas for the Charles Schwab Challenge to restart its 2020 calendar during the COVID-19 pandemic. A year later, the Tour is back after a riveting PGA Championship that saw Phil Mickelson become the oldest player ever to win a major.
This week, Daniel Berger looks to defend his title, which he won in a one-hole playoff against Collin Morikawa. The latter lipped out a short putt that would have forced a second playoff hole. This year, Berger is installed at +1900 to win at DraftKings Sportsbook and Morikawa is installed at +1500.
Jordan Spieth is the favorite this year, installed at +1050. He’s followed by Justin Thomas (+1300), Morikawa (+1500), and Abraham Ancer, Tony Finau, and Patrick Reed (all at +1700). Last year, Spieth and Thomas both finished tied for 10th.
The second round of the tournament gets underway on Friday with tee times starting at 8:10 a.m. ET. Golf Channel will air second round coverage from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. ET. PGA Tour LIVE will offer a live stream from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. focused on the featured groups.
