Will the Buffalo Bills go over or under their win total in 2021?

Will the Bills slip this season?

The Buffalo Bills and quarterback Josh Allen had a breakout 2020 that has propelled them into what should be a long stretch of winning seasons. Last year brought them a 13-3 record, a division title and an AFC Championship game in which they lost to the Kansas City Chiefs. Of their four losses total, two came at the hands of Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs and one on a Hail Murray pass from Kyler Murray to DeAndre Hopkins.

We’ll take a look at the latest DraftKings Sportsbook lines and predict if the Bills can beat their 2021 win total. The odds below are as of May 24, 2021.

AFC East win totals

Buffalo Bills 11 (Over -106, Under -122)
Miami Dolphins 9 (Over -150, Under +123)
New England Patriots 9 (Over -130, Under +107)
New York Jets 6.5 (Over +122, Under -150)

Notable offseason moves

The Bills brought in QB Mitchell Trubisky to back up Josh Allen, LB Matt Milano, OT Darryl Williams, OG Jon Feliciano, and WR Emmanuel Sanders. They also drafted DE Gregory Rousseau and DE Carlos Basham in the first two rounds.

The let WR John Brown, RB T.J. Yeldon, OG Brian Winters, OT Ty Nsekhe, DL Quinton Jefferson and CB Josh Norman go in free agency.

Buffalo Bills prediction: OVER 11

The Bills kept their core intact and replaced John Brown with Emmanuel Sanders. The AFC East will be better, but last season was Josh Allen’s first with star receiver Stefon Diggs and I expect that connection to only improve in their second season together. The same should be true for second year running back Zack Moss with the offense while tight end Dawson Knox should also be a bigger factor this season.

They added some defensive help in the draft, which should pay dividends. But overall, the play of Allen is the swing vote for the over here. He’s improved each season and last year looked like a legitimate Top 3 quarterback in this league. He would need to take a step backwards or miss a big chunk of time due to injury for this team to flounder in 2021.
