ESPN will host Saturday’s first round NBA playoff matchup between the Portland Trail Blazers and the Denver Nuggets with tip off set for 10:30 p.m. ET. The game will take place at the Ball Arena in Denver, and will air on NBC Sports NW in the Blazers market and on Altitude in the Nuggets market.

After going on a five-game losing streak in late April, the Trail Blazers have won 10 of their last 12 games including a 132-116 victory over the Nuggets in the regular season finale. Damian Lillard and CJ McCollum for a terrific backcourt tandem and Jusuf Nurkic is a force in the paint. Portland is a slight favorite in the series at -122. If Lillard gets going early, this could be another signature playoff moment in his career.
The Nuggets come into this series with the MVP frontrunner in Nikola Jokic, but will also feel their championship chances suffered a severe blow due to Jamal Murray’s ACL injury. Jokic picked up the slack to help Denver avoid the play-in tournament and Michael Porter Jr. is a finalist for Most Improved Player for a reason, but the Nuggets will need additional contributions from Aaron Gordon, Gary Harris and Paul Millsap to show they still have what it takes to win a title without Murray.
