The Seattle Mariners and San Diego Padres will open up a three-game series on Friday at 10:10 p.m. ET. Chris Flexen will be on the mound for Seattle, while Chris Paddack will get the start for San Diego. We’ll go over some ideal picks on DraftKings Sportsbook centered around the game here.

Mariners vs. Padres, 10:10 p.m. ET, ESPN+

Moneyline pick: Padres -225

The red-hot Padres enter tonight’s game as the overwhelming favorite with -225 odds over the Mariners. San Diego has won six consecutive games, which puts them up there with the San Francisco Giants and the Tampa Bay Rays. Furthermore, the Padres are also averaging 5.8 runs per game over their six-game win streak.

San Diego will look to keep its winning ways going with Paddack on the mound. The 25-year-old pitcher has a record of 1-3 and 4.45 ERA through seven starts. The flame-throwing Paddack has pitched better recently, despite only throwing a combined 7.0 IP. In his last outing against the Cardinals, Paddack allowed 3 hits (1 HR), 1 earned run, 1 walk, and only struck two hitters. In three career starts against the Mariners, he has done with a 2-1 record and 3.00 ERA.

As for the Mariners, they will give the ball to Flexen, who will be pitching in an NL ballpark for the first time since 2019. This season, the former New York Met has a record of 3-1 and an ERA of 3.46 through seven starts. In his last start against the Indians, Flexen gave up 5 hits, 1 earned run, and 1 walk. He has not pitched well on the road this season, with an ERA of 4.91.

Player Prop: Chris Paddack under 5.5 strikeouts (+105)

It is hard to imagine to see Paddack getting north of five strikeouts since he has not done it since Apr. 27 against the Arizona Diamondbacks. This season, the 25-year-old has gone under 5.5 strikeouts in six out of seven starts. Now granted, Paddack is facing a Mariners’ offense that is striking out 9.39 times per game and 10 times in their last three games. But there’s value on the under, rather than the over at -134 odds.
