The Los Angles Dodgers and San Francisco Giants will open up a pivotal three-game set on Friday at 9:45 p.m. ET. Trevor Bauer will be on the mound for the Dodgers, while Alex Wood will start for the Giants. We’ll go over some ideal picks on DraftKings Sportsbook centered around the game here.

Dodgers vs. Giants, 9:45 p.m. ET

Moneyline pick: Dodgers -130

To everybody’s surprise, the Giants are best team in the NL West and in the National League with a record of 28-16. This season, San Francisco has played in all three phases under the direction of manager Gabe Kapler. They just defeated the Cincinnati Reds 19-4 on Thursday afternoon to wrap-up a four-game sweep. The Giants have won six straight games heading into Friday night’s against the defending World Series champs. Over the course of their win streak, San Francisco is averaging 6.2 runs per game.

San Francisco will look to make it seven consecutive win tonight with Alex Wood on the mound. The former Dodgers pitcher has a record of 5-0 with an ERA of 1.75 through six starts this season. In his last start against the Pittsburgh Pirates, Wood gave up 8 hits, 1 walk, 1 earned run, and produced 6 strikeouts in 6.0 IP.

The 30-year-old starter has pitched well at home this season, with a perfect record of 3-0 and 1.80 ERA. As for Bauer, he’s continued his dominance from last season where he won the NL Cy Young award. The 30-year-old has a record of 4-2 and an ERA of 2.20 through nine starts this season. In his most recent start against Miami, Bauer allowed 2 hits and struck out 10 in 7.0 IP. Despite owning a 1-2 record on the road this season, he has a 2.89 ERA. At -130 on the moneyline, Bauer could be the one to snap the Giants’ winning streak on Friday.

Player Prop: Alex Wood over 5.5 strikeouts (+105)

There likely won’t be a ton of offense scored in tonight’s game as I expect both pitchers to be on their A-game. Bauer and Wood both have favorable strikeout numbers, which are tempting to play. That being said, we are going to lean towards Wood’s numbers, despite Bauer’s K prop being at over 8.5 (-103). This season, Wood has gone over 5.5 strikeouts in four our six starts this season. He also owns a K/9 of 8.8, which is not bad considering he’s still 5-0. He’ll be facing a Dodgers’ team that has firepower throughout their lineup, but is also averaging 9.3 strikeouts per game this season.
