The 2021 NBA Playoffs are set to get underway on Saturday, May 22 after the play-in tournament. The play-in tournament decided the 7 and 8 seeds in the Western Conference and who the Utah Jazz will end up playing in the first round of the playoffs.
The No. 1 Utah Jazz will face the No. 8 Memphis Grizzlies in the first round of the Western Conference playoff. The Jazz enter the postseason as the top seed but have a few question marks in the back court. Donovan Mitchell and Mike Conley are both banged up; Mitchell has an ankle sprain and Conley is still bugged by that dreaded hamstring. Both are expected to be ready for Game 1 of the first round but could be impacted a bit.
The Grizzlies arrive in this series fresh off two wins in the play-in tournament. Memphis finished ninth in the Western Conference and had to beat the tenth seeded Spurs and then the winner of the Lakers-Warriors game. The Grizzlies blew a double digit lead against Golden State, but escaped in overtime thanks to Ja Morant to advance.
Here we’re going to track the results and provide everything you need to know for the series, including odds, betting and fantasy basketball picks and injury reports. We’ll also add in the schedule when that’s released with TV info and game times.
