The Milwaukee Bucks enter the postseason as a No. 3 seed and face a familiar foe in the No. 6 seed Miami Heat. The Heat eliminated the Bucks in last season’s Eastern conference finals and Milwaukee will look to get revenge in the first round this year. After two disappointing exits from the postseason in the last two seasons, are the Bucks healthy enough to make it all the way to the Finals this year?
Milwaukee Bucks injury report
Bucks-Heat Game 4 update — Giannis is being listed as probable to play in Game 4 vs. the Heat due to a groin injury. He’s got some tightness, but it appears it won’t hold him back from playing. With Donte DiVincenzo already out for the rest of the postseason, the Bucks can’t afford to lose Giannis. It would be devastating for their championship hopes and could let Miami back in the series if it holds him back in Game 4.
Thanasis Antetokounmpo, knee — Giannis Antetokounmpo’s older brother is expected to miss at least two more weeks due to a knee injury. He wasn’t a major factor for the Bucks during the regular season, averaging just under 10 minutes per game.
Khris Middleton, ankle — The two-way guard is listed as day-to-day with an ankle injury, but is expected to suit up when the playoffs begin. Middleton is a key component in Milwaukee’s championship puzzle, averaging 20.4 points, 5.4 assists and 6.0 rebounds per game. He’ll also likely be tasked with defending Jimmy Butler for the majority of the series if healthy.
Axel Toupane, oblique — Toupane is out indefinitely with an oblique injury. The Bucks added him on a two-way contract in March. Toupane averaged 1.8 points in eight games this season.
