The Denver Nuggets earned the No. 3 seed in the Western Conference after holding the tiebreaker over the Los Angeles Clippers. The Nuggets were hit with a significant injury last month, which could certainly put a ceiling on how far they can go. They will take on the Portland Trail Blazers, potentially without several key pieces on their roster.

Update, May 21 — Will Barton (hamstring) has been ruled out for Game 1 vs. the Portland Trail Blazers on Saturday while Austin Rivers (illness) is being listed as questionable.
Jamal Murray, knee — Denver suffered a tough blow to their season when the team’s second leading scorer suffered a torn ACL last month. He certainly will not be available for the Nuggets in their playoff run.
Will Barton, hamstring — The Nuggets small forward is dealing with a right hamstring strain, and he has been out for nearly a month. Barton started 52 games this season for Denver and averaged 12.7 points per game. It remains to be seen whether he will be available for Denver in Game 1 of the series.
PJ Dozier, adductor — The shooting guard has not played since May 3 due to a right adductor strain and is out indefinitely. Dozier is averaging 7.7 points per game in 50 games this season.
