We go over some of the best betting options for the NBA play-in tournament matchup between the Indiana Pacers and Washington Wizards on Thursday, May 20th.

NBA: Washington Wizards at Indiana Pacers Doug McSchooler-USA TODAY Sports

The Indiana Pacers are set to take on the Washington Wizards in the final Eastern Conference play-in game, which will determine who gets the eighth and last seed in the NBA Playoffs. The Wizards just suffered a 118-100 loss to the Boston Celtics while the Pacers dominated their first play-in game with a resounding 144-117 win over the Charlotte Hornets. Now the two teams will turn their focus toward each other as they both fight to grab that final spot in the playoffs.

Pacers vs. Wizards, 8:00 p.m. ET, TNT

Pick ATS: Wizards -3.5

The Wizards have had the Pacers’ number all season, sweeping the regular season series 3-0, with two of those games played at home at Capital One Arena. Despite their 18-point loss to the Celtics on Tuesday, the Wizards are still the favorites to win this game after finishing out the season as one of the hottest teams in the league, winning 17 of their last 23 games. Bradley Beal put up 22 points, nine rebounds, and six assists against the Celtics while Russell Westbrook notched a double-double with 20 points and 14 rebounds. Beal has averaged 31.1 points per game all season long, and just a couple weeks ago dropped 50 points in their 133-132 regular season win over the Pacers.

Combine that scoring tandem with the several injuries plaguing the Pacers, and this game has all the makings of a Wizards win. Indiana will still be without Caris LeVert (health and safety protocols), Myles Turner (toe), and Jeremy Lamb (knee) who have all been sidelined for a considerable amount of time. On top of that, both Malcolm Brogdon (hamstring) and Edmond Sumner (knee) are listed as questionable, although they both played in Tuesday night’s contest against the Hornets.

Player Prop: Russell Westbrook O25.5 points (-113)

Westbrook has averaged 22.2 points per game throughout the regular season, and has failed to score over 25 points in his last three games. The Wizards point guard has notched two triple-doubles in his last three games, and with absolutely everything on the line against the Pacers at home, can be expected to show a strong offensive effort.
