The New York Knicks find themselves in the NBA playoffs for the first time since the 2012-13 season, and they will get their postseason started on Sunday, May 23rd at home against the Atlanta Hawks. These teams enter the playoffs with identical records at 41-31, but New York has home-court advantage due to tiebreakers as they earned the No. 4 seed against the fifth-seeded Hawks. Julius Randle will lead the Knicks along with first-year coach Tom Thibodeau, who has the team playing tough on both ends. The Hawks also have a veteran coach in Nate McMillan, who took over halfway through the season and turned things around big time.
