The 2021 NBA Playoffs are set to get underway on Saturday, May 22 after the play-in tournament. We still have a few series that need to be decided, but we already know the matchups for the 4-5 seeds in the Western Conference.
The No. 4 seeded Los Angeles Clippers will host the No. 5 seeded Dallas Mavericks in the first round of the Western Conference playoffs. This is a rematch of the second round from a year ago, when the Clippers won the series 4-2. Lest we forget, there was a bit of a scare for a second when the series was tied 2-2, thanks to OT heroics from Luka Doncic in Game 4. The Clippers enter the postseason hot, going on a tear in April before opting to rest players the final two games in May. Dallas finished 12-4 and Doncic already got a taste of the playoffs in 2020. Insert some fans and a clean slate and the Mavericks are an interesting upset darkhorse candidate in the West.
Here we’re going to track the results and provide everything you need to know for the series, including odds, betting and fantasy basketball picks and injury reports. We’ll also add in the schedule when that’s released with TV info and game times.
