Two of the Eastern Conference’s top-ranked teams are set to face off in Sunday’s first NBA game. The third-place Milwaukee Bucks will host the first-seeded Brooklyn Nets. Brooklyn fell to the Portland Trail Blazers without Kevin Durant, but the Slim Reaper himself will be back in action after taking one game off for rest purposes. The Nets took down a completely healthy Bucks team with Harden and Durant, and Giannis Antetokounmpo’s health is questionable ahead of this rematch. The reigning MVP is probable because of an ankle injury and subbed out after just one minute against the Houston Rockets last week before sitting out for a game against the Miami Heat. If Antetokounmpo is limited on offense, the Nets are very capable of covering the spread and winning. Brooklyn is 4-1 ATS in its last five games.

Player Prop: Kevin Durant to record a double-double (+265)

Surprisingly, Durant has never averaged a double-double, but he has been racking them up lately. The Nets wing has tallied three double-doubles in his last four games. He’s taken on his usual workload since injuring his thigh against the Heat in mid-April, and his efforts on the glass will be significant because of the Nets’ limited frontcourt depth. I like the odds for the Nets’ tallest starter to reach double-digits in boards. The points are a given.
