Best bets in player parlay market for Grizzlies vs. Spurs play-in tournament game

The No. 9 see Memphis Grizzlies take on the No. 10 seed San Antonio Spurs in the first matchup of the Western conference play-in tournament. The winner will meet the loser of the Lakers-Warriors contest while the loser is eliminated from the postseason. Here’s a look at some of the player parlays available on DraftKings Sportsbook for the game.

Player to record a double-double and the win

The first category is double-double plus a win and has Jonas Valanciunas, Jakob Poeltl, Ja Morant and DeMar DeRozan. Only one of those players is averaging a double-double for the season in Valanciunas. The Grizzlies are favored to win the game at +3.5. This player parlay has a high chance of paying off, but the -139 number doesn’t offer tremendous value. If you were going to bet on any parlay from this category, Valanciunas would be the pick. Morant at +250 is a decent value option.

The next category involves point totals for individual players on the winning team. This may sound obvious, but you probably don’t want to pick a Spurs player parlay if you believe Memphis is going to win the game and vice versa. Since the Grizzlies are favored and a majority of bettors are taking them, I’ll only look at Memphis players in this category. If you think the Spurs are going to win the game, DeRozan at +350 offers the best value. For the Grizzlies, Brooks might be the sneaky value play at +160. He’s averaging 19.8 points per game in his last 11 and should get plenty of opportunities with the Spurs focusing heavily on Morant and Valanciunas. Morant is another option for this category at +165. He needs 21+ points and a Memphis win for the parlay to hit and he’s averaging 19.0 points per game in his last seven contests.
