Best MLB team stacks for DFS on Monday, May 17th

We go over some of the best MLB teams to stack for DFS on DraftKings for Monday’s main slate.

MLB: Cincinnati Reds at Colorado Rockies Ron Chenoy-USA TODAY Sports

There are nine MLB games on the card to start the week and we’ve got an idea of the best lineup stacks you can use to get the most bang for your buck with so few games on the docket. The first game starts at 6:40 p.m. EST and the late games get going just after 10 p.m. EST.

Sometimes with a plus-matchup on the MLB game slate, we get an opportunity to slot multiple players from the same team into our DFS lineups. You can learn more about MLB DFS strategy, including team stacks, here.

Here, we’ll break down the best team stacks for the MLB slate on May 17

Chicago White Sox vs. Minnesota Twins, 6:40 p.m.

Yoan Moncada ($4,700)
Jose Abreu ($5,400)
Yermin Mercedes ($4,600)

The last time the White Sox took on JA Happ, Chicago dominated. Happ lasted just 3.1 innings and gave up nine earned runs. That group of three players we selected went 5-14 on the day against Happ and the Twins bullpen with six RBIs as well.

Colorado Rockies vs. San Diego Padres, 8:10 p.m. EST

Charlie Blackmon ($4,600)
Trevor Story ($5,400)
Ryan McMahon ($4,600)

You might be a bit shocked that we’re opting to roll with the Rockies stack here instead of the hard-hitting Padres. But Colorado has had recent success in this matchup. San Deigo starting pitcher Yu Darvish faced off with the Rocks just over a week ago and lasted just four innings. The three players we picked in our stack earned five hits and two RBIs combined against Darvish and the Padres pen.

It should be noted that Blackmon is listed as day-to-day, but has appeared in each of the last two games as a pinch hitter, so a return to the lineup is a real possibility after a restful weekend for him.

New York Yankees vs. Texas Rangers, 8:10 p.m. EST

DJ LeMahieu ($5,300)
Luke Voit ($5,000)
Aaron Judge ($5,600)

The Yankees offense has been a bit underwhelming this season, but we still think this could be a good matchup. These three guys have been solid over the last week. Judge, in particular, has hit over.500 over his last seven games with five home runs. Regardless of what the other two guys around him do, Judge is going to produce. Anything on top of that from LeMahieu and Voit is just icing on the cake.

They’ll be taking on Jordan Lyles, who boasts an ERA over 6 and has allowed 28 earned runs so far this season.
