Best MLB team stacks for DFS on Monday, May 10

We have a real limited slate of MLB action on our plate to start the week, with only six games across the league on Monday, all of which get started after 6:30 p.m. EST. Still, even with the low game count, we’ll give you some ideas of what stacks to play in DFS.

Sometimes with a plus-matchup on the MLB game slate, we get an opportunity to slot multiple players from the same team into our DFS lineups. You can learn more about MLB DFS strategy, including team stacks, here.

Here, we’ll break down three of the best team stacks for the MLB slate on Monday, May 10.

Cincinnati Reds vs. Pittsburgh Pirates, 6:35 p.m. EST

The Reds have one of the better offenses around the league that actually has a game tonight. But more importantly, they also get a favorable matchup tonight going against the reeling Pittsburgh Pirates and Mitch Keller.

Keller’s ERA is way up above 6.20 and has failed to make it out of the fourth inning in all but three of his starts. This is more of a play-the-matchup pick than it is having blind faith in the Cincy bats.

Boston Red Sox vs.Baltimore Orioles, 7:05 p.m. EST

Alex Verdugo ($4,100)

The Sox have the best offense in baseball at the moment in terms of average and are hitting .267 as a team. This is the heart of that lineup and they’ve been dominating this season, which is why they’re sitting atop the AL East.

Baltimore is tossing Jorge Lopez tonight. He faced the Red Sox once earlier this season and had a rough night. He allowed seven earned runs in just four innings, including a home run to JD Martinez.

Speaking of Martinez, he’s gotten a hit in eight of his last ten games, so he’s bound to produce again tonight.

Houston Astros vs. Los Angeles Angels, 7:10 p.m., EST

Alex Bregman ($5,000)
Michael Brantley ($4,300)

The Astros have a top 3 offense in baseball In most statistical categories, including batting average and runs scored. Alvarez leads the team with an absurd .362 average. Brantley has 35 hits in just 29 games played this season, Bregman has 18 RBIs on the season, good for third on the team and Altuve has been solid in the leadoff spot all season.

They’ll also be getting a TBD on the mound for the Angels, as they sent Alex Cobb to the IL with blisters. It might be a bullpen day for LAA, or they could call up a minor leaguer with limited experience. Either way, that should be good news for this group of hitters.
