Wrestlemania is always a prime showcase spot for celebrities. This year YouTube star Logan Paul will take part of the festivities at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, FL.
The controversial social media influencer will be on hand when longtime good friends, better enemies Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn face each other on Night 2.
So how did Paul get entangled in this? Let’s explain.
Why Logan Paul is at Wrestlemania 37
For months, the former Intercontinental Champion Zayn has claimed that there’s a company-wide conspiracy to hold him down, going as far as to bringing a documentary crew with him every week on Friday Night Smackdown to document his claims. After Kevin Owens refused to take part in said documentary, Zayn attacked him and turned to the YouTube star, Paul, to be a guest for the “premiere” of the trailer on Smackdown last week. During the segment Owens returned the favor and delivered a stunner to Zayn, officially challenging him to a match at Wrestlemania 37 where Paul will be ringside.
While the inclusion of Paul has been met with criticism, he has done a decent job playing the role of an unwitting passenger to Sami Zayn’s delusional antics. At Wrestlemania, we’ll see if he’ll get physically involved with either superstar during the match and be willing to take a bump during the spectacle.
So yeah, that’s why we’re here. Two of the best workers in the industry, a pair of men with almost two decades of history in the squared circle together on the biggest stage of them all... need a YouTube celebrity to help them tell a story. Got it.
