Best MLB team stacks for DFS on Wednesday, April 7th

We go over some of the best MLB teams to stack for DFS on DraftKings for Wednesday’s main slate.

We’ve got afternoon baseball on Wednesday and there’s a main slate that features 10 games starting at 1:10 p.m. ET. So we don’t have much time to get together our lineups, unless you want to play the wimpy 4-game afternoon slate or God forbid the 2-game late slate, pssh. So we’ve got to figure out which teams we want to stack up on for the 10 early games. Let’s take a look.

Sometimes with a plus-matchup on the MLB game slate, we get an opportunity to slot multiple players from the same team into our DFS lineups. You can learn more about MLB DFS strategy, including team stacks, here.

Here, we’ll break down three of the best team stacks for the MLB slate on April 7th.

Minnesota Twins vs. Detroit Tigers, 1:10 p.m. ET

Nelson Cruz ($5,100)
Mitch Garver ($4,400)
Byron Buxton ($3,900)
Jorge Polanco ($3,400)
Kyle Garlick ($2,300)

The Twins face LHP Matthew Boyd, so we can load up on the Twins’ right-handed bats in this afternoon matchup. Cruz has been crushing the ball early in the season and his price is still pretty low considering his OPS is 1.808 through five games. We also get a nice mix of value plays within the 1-5 batters in the Twins’ lineup. Garlick will bat second and is dirt cheap, so if he can get on base, Polanco, Garver and Buxton are right behind him.

Toronto Blue Jays vs. Texas Rangers, 2:05 p.m. ET

Bo Bichette ($5,300)
Marcus Semien ($5,200)
Vladimir Guerrero Jr. ($5,000)
Teoscar Hernandez ($4,800)
Cavan Biggio ($4,700)

The Blue Jays won’t be a cheap stack. The Rangers on the other side aren’t a bad option, but all their power comes from left-handed bats going up against LHP Hyun Jin Ryu. So if you want to pay up for the Blue Jays stack and pay down at pitcher, that’s a decent strategy in GPPs if this stack pops. There were 11 runs scored total in Game 1 of this series on Tuesday, so if you want to run it back with a bat or two from Texas, feel free. Make sure to confirm the Jays lineup, though. We’re still waiting on that.

Chicago White Sox vs. Seattle Mariners, 4:10 p.m. ET

Jose Abreu (5,700)
Yoan Moncada (4,900)
Yermin Mercedes ($4,100)
Adam Eaton ($4,000)
Nick Madrigal ($3,200)

In comparison to the other stacks we have listed for Wednesday’s slate, this might be the most expensive. However, with the way the White Sox’s offense has been playing in their series against the Mariners, it might be worth it. The Sox have outscored the Mariners 16-4 in the first two games. First baseman Jose Abreu is coming off a solid Tuesday night off the plate with a grand slam and five RBI for 22 fantasy points. Since this game isn’t until late the afternoon, we do not know who will be starting for the Sox. But we do know they are going up against a pitcher in Justin Dunn, who allowed 10 home runs last season, including six vs. left handed batters.
