Best NBA team stacks for DFS on Monday, April 5th

Monday’s seven-game main NBA slate on DraftKings will begin at 7:00 p.m ET and the final tip will be at 8:00 p.m. ET. Finding the games with the highest fantasy upside can be difficult with larger slates, but we tried to pick out a few to help you out.

Sometimes with a plus-matchup on the NBA game slate, we get an opportunity to slot multiple players from the same team into our DFS lineups. You can read more about the concept of stacking here, but the main goal is to take advantage of this plus-matchup and use the salary cap to your advantage.

Here, we’ll break down three of the best team stacks for the NBA slate on DATE.

Dallas Mavericks vs. Utah Jazz, 7:00 p.m. ET

Luka Doncic ($10,800)
Donovan Mitchell ($9,100)
Rudy Gobert ($7,900)
Boban Marjanovic ($3,800)

Doncic put up 47.5 DKFP for the injury-riddled Wizards in his last game, but this matchup should be much more challenging. Kristaps Porzingis ($8,400) is questionable with a knee injury and Josh Richardson ($4,800) is dealing with a calf injury, so several Mavericks could be a lot more valuable than usual. Marjanovic has returned 10X value in two of his last three games ad will be a double-double threat while Willie Cauley-Stein ($3,000) is out because of Covid-19 health and safety protocols. Tim Hardaway Jr. ($5,900) and Jalen Brunson ($5,400) should also see a bump in minutes.

The Jazz are only favored by 5.5 points at DraftKings Sportsbook and Mitchell will probably have his fingerprints all over this game if it stays close. He’s getting back into the swing of things after taking a short break but could face a Dallas team that's missing its best perimeter defender. Gobert is one of the most consistent double-double threats in basketball every time he plays, so going up against a team that’s short on post players makes a glass eater like him desirable.

Washington Wizards vs. Toronto Raptors, 7:00 p.m. ET

Russell Westbrook ($11,100)
Pascal Siakam ($8,500)
OG Anunoby ($7,200)
Malachi Flynn ($3,500)

If Bradley Beal ($9,400) doesn’t return from the hip injury that's kept him sidelined for four games, Westbrook will be box office. The Wizards point guard has cracked 50 DKFP in six straight games while notching four triple-doubles. he should continue to create the lion’s share of the offense against a banged-up Raptors team, as Rui Hachimura ($7,100) is set to miss yet another game with a shoulder injury.

Toronto is fresh off scoring 130 points in a 53-point victory over the Golden State Warriors are set to face a much worse defense without several key pieces. Kyle Lowry ($7,100) has been sidelined by a foot injury and Fred VanVleet ($8,100) is questionable with a hip flexer injury. If both sit, Flynn will likely be one the best value plays on this slate. The rookie scored 33.25 DKFP in 31 minutes against the Warriors, and the Wizards’ defense ranks 23rd against point guards on DraftKings. Washington has no answers on defense for Siakam, Anunoby, or Chris Boucher ($5,900), so leaning heavily on Raptors players could yield very favorable results.

Sacramento Kings vs. Minnesota Timberwolves, 7:00 p.m. ET

Karl-Anthony Towns ($10,600)
De’Aaron Fox ($9,200)
Anthony Edwards ($7,600)

Matchups between two terrible defenses make for great stacks and both sides can benefit from glaring mismatches. Ricky Rubio ($5,800) is questionable with a back injury, so Fix could primarily be defended by Jordan McLaughlin ($4,400), Ashton Hagans ($3,000), and D’Angelo Russell in his first game since February. The speedster has eclipsed 40 DKFP eight times in his last 10 games and will likely do so again against a team without legitimate perimeter defense. He’s one of three Kings guards who can go over 30 DKFP on any given night.

Minnesota’s two players to watch are Towns and Edwards. Towns scored 50 DKFP in his sleep and shouldn't have a problem doing so against the undersized Richaun Holmes ($7,600). Edwards will continue to shoot to his heart’s content while Malik Beasley ($5,900) is out with a hamstring injury, so the rookie wing could easily go over 40 DKFP for the fourth time in five games.
