The Brooklyn Nets may continue to operate without two of their biggest stars when they host the New York Knicks on Monday, April 5th. They have been without Kevin Durant for a while with a hamstring injury, though he is expected back soon, and James Harden missed each of the last two games dealing with a hamstring injury of his own. He is questionable for Monday night’s game.
New York is coming off a blowout win over the Detroit Pistons, but they will see a significant increase in talent when they head to Brooklyn. The Knicks snapped a three-game losing streak with a 44-point win over Detroit. New York is 25-25 for a tie for seventh place in the Eastern Conference, while the Nets are tied for first in the East with a 34-16 record.
New York Knicks vs. Brooklyn Nets, 7:00 p.m. ET, NBATV
Pick ATS: Nets -5.5
Brooklyn is a much more talented team, and they’re going to cover this spread at home on Monday night. Regardless of Harden’s potential return, this is a good spot for the Nets as they return home to start a three-game home stand. Meanwhile, the Knicks are playing in the middle of a three-game road trip. The Nets have struggled against the spread, covering just once in their last six games, but they will be ready to cover the 5.5 points at home on Monday night.
Player Prop: TBD
