Full list of Raiders 2021 NFL draft picks, needs, dream first pick

The Las Vegas Raiders started off the regular season on a good note with a record of 6-3 after Week 10. However, Las Vegas struggled down the stretch, going 2-5 and ultimately ending their hopes of making the playoffs in 2020.

Veteran quarterback Derek Carr wasn't the issue for Raiders last season as he completed 67.3% of his passes for 4,103 yards, 27 touchdowns, and nine interceptions. Instead, it was the defense, which costed the Raiders multiple the games down the stretch and where they were devoid of a lot of talent. With the No. 17 overall pick, the Raiders can find an impact defensive player to help them remedy their issues from last season.

Team needs

Offense: Offensive line, Wide Receiver

After spending one of their two first round picks on a wide receiver, the Raiders would be best to address the position on Day 2 or Day 3 of the draft. Therefore, they could look at the offensive line, specifically at both guard spots or right tackle. If they are looking to upgrade the right tackle, then BYU’s Brady Christensen should be on their radar.

Defense: Linebacker, Cornerback, Defensive Tackle

Last year, the Raiders took Damon Arnette out of Ohio State in the first round, who did not live up to expectations. By this point in the draft, the top three cornerbacks should be off the board. If that’s the case, we could expect Mike Mayock and Jon Gruden to look at the defensive line or linebacker.

Dream first pick

With the No. 17th overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft, the Las Vegas Raiders select linebacker Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah out of Notre Dame.
