The run line for Saturday night’s game is set at -1.5, with the Padres listed as the favorite at home. They are also favored on the moneyline at -195. San Diego is coming off a two-game split against the Arizona Diamondbacks. After getting surprisingly swept by the Miwaukee Brewers last week, the Padres have split their last two series against the Dodgers and now the D-Backs. The last time these two teams squared off, the Giants took two out of three games from the Padres in San Diego.
The Padres will have their ace in Darvish on the mound, who’s been outstanding with a 2-1 record and ERA of 2.27. The veteran pitcher has only allowed one hit in his last four starts, which is good news for San Diego. As for the Giants, they’ve been playing good baseball as of late under manager Gabe Kapler. They’ve won their last three series against the Phillies, the Marlins, and Rockies. San Fran will turn the ball over to Webb, who has a record of 1-1 with an ERA of 4.03. Webb is coming off a good performance against the Marlins, where he threw seven shutout innings and struck eight hitters. In three games against San Diego, he has an ERA of 1.80.
