The New York Mets and Philadelphia Phillies meet up for a third time this season as they will begin a three-game series on Friday at 7:05 p.m. ET. The Phillies will have Chase Anderson on the mound, while the Mets will start Marcus Stroman. We’ll go over some ideal picks on DraftKings Sportsbook centered around the game here.

Mets vs. Phillies, 7:05 p.m. ET

Moneyline pick: Mets -152

The run line for Friday night’s game is set at -1.5, with the Mets listed as the favorite on the road. They are favored on the moneyline at -152. New York is coming off a two-game sweep by the Boston Red Sox, where the offense was nonexistent (1 run in 18 innings). Meanwhile, for the Phillies, they split their four-game road set with the St. Louis Cardinals.

The last time these two teams played each other at Citi Field earlier this month, the Mets took all three games from the Phillies in dominating fashion. New York outscored Philly 13-4 and currently lead the season series at 4-2. Anderson will be back on the bump for the Phillies. The Phils’ fourth starter has struggled to string together quality outings, which has led to a record of 0-3 and 6.48 ERA. In his last start against Colorado, Anderson allowed six hits, six earned runs, three walks, and only struck out two in 3.2 IP. Meanwhile, Stroman has asserted himself well as the Mets’ second starter behind ace Jacob deGrom. Stroman has a record of 3-1 with an ERA of 2.25. This season, the 29-year-old has been great on the road with a record of 2-0 and 1.29 ERA.

Player Prop: Chase Anderson under 4.5 strikeouts (-113)

This is a player prop that has value on both ends as Anderson has struggled tremendously this season. The former Blue Jays pitcher has gone under 4.5 strikeouts in three out of his four last starts. In his first two starts, which came against New York, Anderson recorded three strikeouts each time in 5.0 and 4.0 innings of work. The Mets’ offense has struggled as of late, however, striking out 12 times in their last three games. But until Anderson proves he can improve, take the under.
