Pick against the spread, best player prop for Hawks vs. Sixers on Wednesday

We go over some of the best betting options for Wednesday’s matchup between the Atlanta Hawks and Philadelphia 76ers.

In one of 10 games to tipoff Wednesday night, we have the Atlanta Hawks taking on the Philadelphia 76ers at 7 p.m. ET. The first time these two teams played each other, Atlanta defeated Philadelphia 112-94 at State Farm Arena in January.

The Hawks enter this late-season conference matchup coming off of a 100-86 road loss to the Detroit Pistons on Monday night. Despite the loss, Atlanta has a record of 3-2 in the last five games and is 7-3 in the last 10.

The Sixers snapped their season-long four-game losing skid with a dominating 121-90 win over the Oklahoma City Thunder on Monday. Philly finally got Ben Simmons back in the starting lineup after missing the previous four games with a viral infection. The Sixers are 1-4 in their last five games, but 5-5 in their last 10 contests. We’ll go over some ideal picks on DraftKings Sportsbook centered around the game here.

Hawks vs. Sixers, 7:00 p.m. ET, NBA League Pass

Pick ATS: Hawks +7.5

Philadelphia looked like their old self on Monday night in their win over the Thunder. Simmons made his return to the starting lineup and did not miss a step. The All-Star point guard had 12 points, four assists, three rebounds, two blocks, and two steals in 23 minutes. In fact, the Sixers had four out of five starters in double-figures, except Furkan Korkmaz (9 points). Korkmaz replaced Danny Green, who was out with a hip injury. Philadelphia only has Mike Scott on the injury report, who is listed as questionable with a hip injury. The Sixers have been tremendous against teams from the East with a record of 25-9. They are also 17-12-1 against the spread at home, but 1-5-1 ATS in their last seven games.

The Hawks walk into tonight’s game as the walking wounded. Kevin Huerter, who has played tremendous basketball lately, is listed as doubtful with a shoulder injury. If Huerter does not play, then Atlanta will have to get offense from either Lou Williams, Danilo Gallinari or Bogdan Bogdanovic. The Hawks have lost two straight road games, but are still a solid 16-16-2 ATS this season away from State Farm Arena. They are also 11-4 ATS in their last 15 games and 6-1 ATS in their last seven contests against the Sixers.

Player Prop: John Collins O6.5 rebounds (+108)

With the Hawks already down Trae Young and possibly Kevin Huerter, they will need their front court combination of John Collins and Clint Capela to be productive on Wednesday night against the Sixers. Collins will likely be matched up against Ben Simmons and/or Tobias Harris, while Capela deals with Embiid.

In the Hawks’ last five games, Collins has gone over 6.5 rebounds three times and is averaging 7.8 rebounds over that time. Atlanta is facing a Sixers’ squad that has allowed 56.7 rebounds in their last three games to opposing teams. This is a prop to jump on before it turns to minus money the closer we get to game time.
