The 2021 Academy Awards are set to take place Sunday, April 25th, starting at 8 p.m. ET. The Oscars will air on ABC, but for those who are attempting to cut the cord or otherwise won’t be near a TV, you can live stream the 2021 Oscars online with ABC. Keep in mind, however, that requires a cable log-in.
If you don’t have a cable subscription to live stream the Oscars directly from ABC’s website, there are quite a few streaming services offering free trials for one or two weeks. You can check YouTube TV, Hulu with Live TV, AT&T TV Now, FuboTV, or Sling TV and be able to stream the Academy Awards on the ABC channel there.
The Oscars will have no hosts for the third straight year, but will be in person this year. Last year’s ceremony was in February, which meant it too was held in person. This year’s ceremony was pushed back from February 28 to April 25 due to COVID-19. This resulted in extending the eligibility period for feature films to the 28th.
Nomadland is a favorite at DraftKings Sportsbook to take home several awards this year. The film is the favorite for Best Picture (-670), Best Director (Chloe Zhao -3335), Best Adapted Screenplay (-400), and Best Cinematography (-400).
