Moneyline pick, best player prop for Padres vs. Dodgers on Saturday

The San Diego Padres and Los Angeles Dodgers will continue their much-anticipated four-game series Saturday at 9:10 p.m. ET on MLB Network. Moneyline pick: Dodgers -143

The run line for Saturday night’s NL West battle is set at -1.5, with the Dodgers listed as the favorite at home. They are favored on the moneyline at -143. The Padres have taken the first two games of their division series, including a decisive 6-1 win on Friday night. Meanwhile, Los Angeles has now lost four out of their last five games, which isn't out of the normal since its a long season.

Fernando Tatis Jr. paced San Diego with two home runs and going 3-for-5 with three RBI at the top of the order. Trent Grisham also helped out, going 2-for-4 himself in the second spot behind Tatis. Yu Darvish also pitched another gem for his new team, striking out nine in 7.0 IP and only allowing one earned run.

Snell will try to replicate that on Saturday night. He still has not registered a win through four starts this season. In his last start against the Dodgers, Snell only two hits, two earned runs (a home run), two walks, and struck out seven in 5.0 IP. San Diego went on to win that game 5-2. As for Bauer, he has a record of 2-0 with an ERA of 2.42. In his last start, which was also against the Padres, the former NL Cy Young winner only allowed three hits, one earned run, a walk, and struck out seven in 6.0 IP.

Player Prop: Trevor Bauer over 8.5 strikeouts (+110)

For the second-straight night, we could be due for another pitchers duel between the Padres and Dodgers. Bauer has been a strikeout machine this season for the Dodgers, recording 36 strikeouts in 26.0 IP. The veteran pitcher has gone over 8.5 strikeouts in his first three starts of the season. Against the Padres last week, he only had seven strikeouts, which is not bad. However, he might be the pitcher to help slowdown this Padres’ offense that has looked much better since the last time these two teams played last week.
