Moneyline pick, best player prop for Braves vs. Yankees on Wednesday

We go over some of the best betting options for Wednesday’s matchup between the Atlanta Braves and New York Yankees.

The Yankees snapped their five-losing streak on Tuesday against the Braves. Their offensive struggles continued in the 3-1 win, but a run-scoring wild pitch and a bases-loaded walk proved to be enough. Atlanta mustered six hits against Jameson Taillon and a quintet of relievers in their first full game without Ronald Acuna Jr. The superstar outfielder is dealing with an ab strain.

Braves vs. Yankees, 6:30 p.m. ET, ESPN

Moneyline pick: Braves (+110)

I wouldn’t want to put my money on Corey Kluber right now. Just about everything he’s doing isn’t working, and even sans Acuna, the Braves have enough high-quality bats to prolong his rough start to the season. Braves starter Ian Anderson hasn’t been able to carry over his 2020 success into 2021, but I would give him the advantage in this pitching matchup. The Yankees are due to bust out for a long stretch at some point, but you can’t deny that they have been a paper tiger for the past 10 days.

Player Prop: Marcell Ozuna to hit a home run (+430)

Kluber has really fallen victim to the home run ball this year with three dingers allowed in just 10.1 innings. Yankee Stadium doesn’t help him in that regard at all, especially with its short right-field porch. At least one Brave will go deep off of Kluber tonight; you’ve just got to pick the right one. I’d put some faith in Ozuna, who has gotten off to a slow start after an amazing 2020. Right-handed batters are slugging .724 against Kluber this year and have accounted for each of those three homers.
