The Denver Nuggets will enter their next game coming off a 47-point performance from Nikola Jokic as they head on the road to take on the Portland Trail Blazers on Wednesday, April 21st. After Monday night’s double-overtime win over the Memphis Grizzlies, Denver improved to 37-20 for the fourth best record in the Western Conference and won 11 of their last 13 games. Portland has struggled to collect wins recently with an injury to Damian Lillard as they are just 3-7 this month to drop to 32-25 for the sixth spot in the West.
Denver has played well despite the devastating injury to Jamal Murray that put an end to his season, and they will be without Monte Morris, who missed Monday night’s game with a hamstring injury. Lillard sat out each of the last three games as his hamstring continues to heal, and he is questionable for Wednesday’s game.
Nuggets vs. Trail Blazers, 10:00 p.m. ET, NBA League Pass
Pick ATS: Nuggets -1.5
Be sure to check the injury report for Lillard’s status, but we’re going with Denver in this spot. Neither team has been very successful in covering point spreads recently, but the Nuggets have found ways to win, whereas the Trail Blazers have come up short more often than not in recent games. Denver is playing their first of a two-game road trip, but they had a day off on Tuesday, while Portland is playing a back-to-back, giving the Nuggets the slight edge.
Player Prop: TBD
