Wednesday’s main NBA slate on DraftKings is loaded. The 12-game slate will begin with 5 games at 7:00 p.m. ET, and the final three matchups of the night will tip-off at 10:00 p.m. ET.
Sometimes with a plus-matchup on the NBA game slate, we get an opportunity to slot multiple players from the same team into our DFS lineups. You can read more about the concept of stacking here, but the main goal is to take advantage of this plus-matchup and use the salary cap to your advantage.
Here, we’ll break down three of the best team stacks for the NBA slate on April 21st.
Brooklyn Nets vs. Toronto Raptors, 7:00 p.m. ET
Kyrie Irving ($9,900)
Joe Harris ($6,100)
Bruce Brown ($5,200)
Blake Griffin ($5,100)
Irving will have to do everything for the Nets with Kevin Durant (thigh), James Harden (hamstring), and Nicolas Claxton (COVID-19 health and safety protocols) out. Irving has cleared his DKFP six times in his last 10 games, and the Raptors rank 23rd on defense against point guards.
The Nets only have five bench players available, so their rotation will be short. Harris, Brown, and Griffin, all eclipsed 30 DKFP against the New Orleans Pelicans. There are only so many places Brooklyn can get fantasy points from, and they've scored more than 120 points in three of their last five games. One stud and three mid-tier plays could yield a ton of value.
Memphis Grizzlies vs. Los Angeles Clippers, 10:00 p.m. ET
Ja Morant ($7,200)
Kyle Anderson ($6,300)
Xavier Tillman ($4,200)
Morant went above and beyond with Jonas Valanciunas ($8,100) out of commission. The second-year point guard torched the Denver Nuggets with 36 points, eight rebounds, and 12 assists while his starting center was out with a concussion and should have to do the bulk of the work for Memphis on offense against the Clippers. Patrick Beverley (hand), Paul George (rest), Reggie Jackson (rest), Serge Ibaka (back) and Kawhi Leonard (foot) are inactive, so Los Angeles’s perimeter defense could be lacking.
Memphis will need all the rebounding it can get with Valanciunas out. Anderson and Tillman will likely be the starting frontcourt and combined for 75 DKFP against Denver. Anderson will be a mainstay as a power forward until Jaren Jackson Jr. ($7,100) makes his 2020-21 debut, and Tillman has scored 14 or more points in three straight games. Brandon Clarke ($4,000) has taken a back seat to the rookie, who racked up 18 points and 14 rebounds in 41 minutes against the Nuggets.
