NBA DFS value plays under $5K for Wednesday, April 21st

We go over some top bargain options under $5K on DraftKings for Wednesday’s main slate.

Wednesday’s main NBA slate on DraftKings will be a big one. Twelve games are on tap, and one seems especially desirable for cheap plays with the potential to return significant fantasy production. That being said, it is a great time to give you some value plays for your DFS contest. Unlike NFL DFS, where one pick can make or break your lineup or it’s tough to find quality low-tier value.

In NBA DFS, you can find quality value plays under $5K that can give you a quick 10 points off the bench, grab some rebounds, or stuff the stat sheet. It does not matter if you are playing a 50/50 or Double Up contest, we are going to provide you with three players that you need to put in your lineup.

Bruce Brown, Brooklyn Nets, $5,200

We’ll make an exception for Brown, who has fantasy relevance once again now that Kevin Durant (thigh) has been sidelined. Brown rebounds better than most other 6’3” wings and has grabbed 11 boards in each of his last two games. He won’t take a ton of shots, but his ability to get hustle points through blocks and steal has helped him tally more than 30 DKFP in two straight games. Brooklyn’s backcourt depth is extremely thin, and Brown could be the first sub for Kyrie Irving, Landry Shamet, and Joe Harris.

Blake Griffin, Brooklyn Nets, $5,100

We don’t usually do this, but we’ll make exceptions for two Nets who are borderline $5K plays for Wednesday. Griffin is Brooklyn’s primary backup for Jeff Green and DeAndre Jordan and is fresh off his best fantasy performance since moving to the Big Apple. He tallied 16 points and eight boards against the New Orleans Pelicans’ porous defense, and the Toronto Raptors rank 28th on defense against power forwards on DraftKings.

Danny Green, Philadelphia 76ers, $4,800

Green is usually an afterthought, but the 76ers could be short on wings on Wednesday. Ben Simmons (illness) and Tobias Harris (knee) are questionable along with Seth Curry (hip) and Joel Embiid (knee), so Green is sure to get a boost in playing time if even one can’t suit up. He doesn’t have the best scoring upside, but making threes will help him make up for lower shot volume. He’s tallied 14 rebounds and seven steals over his last two games and will likely play around 35 minutes if Philly can stay close to the Phoenix Suns.
