The Brooklyn Nets enter another period with two superstars sidelined. Kevin Durant bruised his thigh and is sidelined Tuesday night vs. the New Orleans Pelicans. KD had just returned from a hamstring injury that held him out nearly two months. This will put more pressure on Kyrie Irving, especially when the Nets are kind of in a slump. Let’s take a look at the lines and spreads on DraftKings Sportsbook for the game.
Pick ATS: Nets +3 (-113)
I’ll take the points and the Nets on this spread even on the road. Kyrie Irving had shown to be plenty to give Brooklyn wins without Harden and Durant this season. The Nets won’t be able to stop Zion Williamson, but not team can really do that anyway. New Orleans has lost three straight and lost 139-111 with Harden and Durant out on April 7. The Nets haven’t lost back-to-back games since Feb. 9 and my guess is that streak continues.
Player Prop: Zion Williamson O28.5 Points (-125)
There is no one on the Nets who can handle Williamson tonight. DeAndre Jordan? Blake Griffin? Jeff Green? Zion should dominate this matchup all night. He’s gone over 30 points in five of eight games in April, though one of those games was 16 points vs. the Nets. That was without Brandon Ingram, so his presence should make this game more competitive. If the spread is accurate, Zion should play enough minutes to clear this number.
