Moneyline pick, best player prop for White Sox vs. Red Sox on Patriots’ Day

We go over some of the best betting options for the Patriot Day matchup between the Chicago White Sox and Boston Red Sox.

What value can Dylan Bundy bring against Texas?

The Boston Red Sox will host the Chicago White Sox at Fenway Park on Monday morning for their annual Patriots Day game. Boston won the first game of this four-game set and will look to even the series after the White Sox swept a doubleheader on Sunday. Boston lost three of their last four games after a nine-game winning streak and will enter Monday’s game with a 10-6 record. The White Sox will look to get over .500 for the first time this season as they sit at 8-8.

The Red Sox will turn to right-hander Nathan Eovaldi on the mound. He has a 2-1 record with a 2.08 ERA in three starts. Righty Lucas Giolito will get the start for the White Sox, and he is 1-0 this season with a 2.55 ERA in three starts.

White Sox vs. Red Sox, 11:10 a.m. ET

Moneyline pick: Red Sox -118

The White Sox have struggled to get into a rhythm early on as Sunday was just their second time this season where they won consecutive games. In addition to Patriots Day being an exciting time for the city of Boston, Eovaldi has gotten off to a hot start for the Red Sox. He has done a great job getting ground balls, and he hasn’t allowed more than two runs in any of his three starts so far this season. Runs should be hard to come by in this one, but look for the Red Sox to bounce back after scoring just three runs on Sunday in two seven-inning games.

Player Prop: Enrique Hernandez Over 0.5 hits (-205)

Hernandez is once again hitting in the leadoff spot for the Red Sox, so he’ll see plenty of at-bats. He enters with a .262 batting average and did not record a hit in the second game of Sunday’s doubleheader, though it was a seven-inning game. Hernandez had a four-game hitting streak previously including a 4-for-5 performance on Saturday against the White Sox.
