Pick against the spread, best player prop for Nets vs. Sixers on Wednesday

We go over some of the best betting options for Wednesday matchup between the Brooklyn Nets and Philadelphia 76ers.

Houston, Washington, and more best bets for the NBA slate

It’s a big one at the Wells Fargo Center tonight as the top two teams in the Eastern Conference face off against each other. The Philadelphia 76ers (37-17) host the Brooklyn Nets (37-17) in a game that will decide who takes the top spot in the East for the time being. This will be their third meeting of the season, with each team grabbing one win so far. While the 76ers finally saw the return of Joel Embiid (knee) after missing a few weeks in March, the Nets also got Kevin Durant (hamstring) back in the lineup. Unfortunately for Brooklyn, Durant will be forced to sit this game out to manage his recovery.

Nets vs. Sixers, 7:00 p.m. ET, ESPN

Pick ATS: 76ers -8

Not only will the Nets be missing Durant, but James Harden (hamstring) is also out after leaving the game against the Knicks on April 5th in the first quarter. Similar to Durant, Blake Griffin will also be sidelined for injury management as well ahead of the playoffs. It’s clear that this game won’t be the battle between the titans like we’d all hoped, as the Nets are at a severe disadvantage with so many of their key players sidelined. Center LaMarcus Aldridge is also ruled out for tonight with an illness, so things are looking up for the Sixers. The Nets will still put up a fight as Kyrie Irving will take on the brunt of the workload himself, but this might have blowout written all over it in the Sixers’ favor.

Player Prop: Tobias Harris O18.5 points (-121)

With Embiid’s player prop being a pretty big gamble at over 30.5 points, Harris might be the safer route as he’s averaged 18 points per game throughout April so far. He only scored 10 against Dallas earlier in the week, but he’s scored over 20 points three times in his last six contests. With the Nets being severely short-handed, Harris could easily help the Sixers run away with this one especially at home.
