The Denver Nuggets have been one of the hottest teams in the NBA until Sunday’s loss, but they will look to get back on track on the road against the Golden State Warriors on Monday night in the second game of an ESPN doubleheader. Denver had won eight in a row until losing to the Boston Celtics as they sit at 34-19 for fourth place in the Western Conference. Golden State will enter at 25-28 for the 10th best record in the West and lost four of their last six games.
For the Warriors, they will be without Kelly Oubre Jr. as he battles through a wrist injury. Additionally, rookie James Wiseman suffered a knee injury in Saturday’s win over the Houston Rockets and could miss the rest of the season. For Denver, Jamal Murray hasn’t played since April 4th, and it is uncertain whether he will return to the court.
Denver Nuggets vs. Golden State Warriors, 10:00 p.m. ET, ESPN
Pick ATS: Golden State +4
The Warriors haven’t been doing a whole lot of winning recently, but you cannot deny this is a good spot for Golden State from a betting perspective. Denver is traveling on a back-to-back, while the Warriors’ last game was at home, and there was a day off in between. The loss of Wiseman certainly stings for his development in his first year as a pro, but Golden State will be just fine without him on Monday night.
