Best MLB team stacks for DFS on Monday, April 12th

On Monday we got a heavy MLB schedule, with all but two teams taking the field to start the week. The vast majority of the games start at 6:30 p.m. or later, but there is one afternoon tilt to remember about.

So as you get ready to place your bets, you might want to find the best matchups where you can get the most bang for your buck in one game. Sometimes with a plus-matchup on the MLB game slate, we get an opportunity to slot multiple players from the same team into our DFS lineups. Here, we’ll break down three of the best team stacks for the MLB slate on April 12th.

Philadelphia Phillies vs. New York Mets, 7:10 p.m.

JT Realmuto ($5,100)

This group teed off on New York’s projected starter in David Peterson last time these two teams met. The middle of the Phillies order went a combined 7-for-16 with eight RBI between Peterson and the Mets bullpen. There’s no reason to think that will stop now, as that entire group is hitting well over or near .300 on the season, so hits are bound to come quick and fast with the 2-5 guys in the Philly lineup.

Cincinnati Reds vs. San Francisco Giants, 9:45 p.m.

Joey Votto ($4,000)

The Cincinnati offense has been one of the bigger surprises so far on the short season. They took a series loss over the weekend to the Arizona Diamondbacks, but are still leading the majors in batting average, slugging percentage and total runs scored.

This group of four is hitting a combined .256 with seven home runs and 17 RBI. The lone superstar of that group, Votto, has struggled to start the season and has brought down the average stats of the group. But still, he’s a player that’s able to flip a switch to go on a tear when nobody expects it, so you can’t ever count him out. Giants starter Aaron Sanchez was strong in his first start, but allowed 6 hits and worked out of some trouble in 5 IP. That was also against the Padres, not this Reds offense.
