Since being swept by the Baltimore Orioles to open the season, the Boston Red Sox have won five games in a row. The Sox have outscored the O’s 13-7 so far in this series and wrap things up at Camden Yards on Sunday. Red Sox SP Nick Pivetta will face Jorge Lopez, who didn’t last very long in his first start of the season. Let’s take a look at the moneyline and some props on DraftKings Sportsbook.
Note: JD Martinez is in the lineup after sitting out Saturday on the Covid-19 list.
Red Sox vs. Orioles, 1:05 p.m. ET
Moneyline pick: Red Sox -139
The Red Sox offense has just been too strong to back the O’s to close out this series. The Red Sox have scored at least 6 runs in every win during their streak. Lopez is another below-average starter whom the Sox can take advantage of on Sunday afternoon. Even without JD Martinez on Saturday, things didn’t change much. Rafael Devers got two hits and could get it going. Christian Vasquez continues to rake and is batting .414 on the season.
Prop: Red Sox Total Runs O5.5 (+112)
You can get some juice on the Sox with this prop. Boston has scored at least 6 runs in five straight games, as mentioned above. If the streak continues against another bad starter, we can get a nice little return on this prop at plus-money. Lopez allowed 4 ER over 4.2 IP in his first start and the Orioles bullpen doesn’t miss many bats.
