Like last year, WrestleMania is a two-night event this go-around with a wide variety of matches filling the card for the spectacle of spectacles. But this year, we’ll have about 25,000 fans in the stands, and it’ll should look and feel much more like a WrestleMania then it did last year on the closed set of the WWE Performance Center in Orlando.
Here is the complete list of matches for Night 2 of WrestleMania 37, live from Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida on Sunday, April 11th.
WWE Universal Championship — Roman Reigns (c) vs. Edge vs. Daniel Bryan
The main event of the entire show will pit three adversaries in the ring for the top prize on Friday Night SmackDown as WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns defends his title against both Royal Rumble winner Edge and Daniel Bryan in a triple threat match. All three combatants were staring down the barrel of retirement at various points due to injury/ailments and here they are closing Wrestlemania.
Raw Women’s Championship — Asuka (c) vs. Rhea Ripley
The absence of Charlotte Flair left a void for any potential challengers for longtime Raw Women’s Champion Asuka at Wrestlemania. In walks Rhea Ripley, who will be challenging Asuka for the belt just weeks after being called up from NXT.
“The Fiend” Bray Wyatt vs. Randy Orton
A bizarre rivalry that has included the immolation and resurrection of “The Fiend” will culminate on Sunday when these two sadistic combatants meet on Night 2. There’s intrigue and speculation over whether the match will actually be in the ring or if it’ll be cinematic like Bray Wyatt’s “match” with John Cena last year.
Intercontinental Championship — Big E (c) vs. Apollo Crews (Nigerian Drum Match)
Big E. and Apollo Crews have had a blood rivalry over the Intercontinental title for months now and will hit a fever pitch on Night 2. The curiosity here is what exactly a Nigerian Drum Match entails.
Kevin Owens vs. Sami Zayn
Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn have had an on-again/off-again friendship/rivalry that has spanned back over a decade and the two will finally meet one-on-one at Wrestlemania. Considering the fact that Owens likes to jump off of things, one could imagine him jumping off either the Raymond James Stadium pirate ship or the pirate ship the WWE is building as part of the stage.
United States Championship — Riddle (c) vs. Sheamus
Riddle has been riding high as the U.S. champion for a few months now and will test himself in his Wrestlemania debut against veteran Sheamus.
Women’s Tag Team Championship — Nia Jax & Shayna Baszler (c) vs. Natalya and Tamina
Nia Jax and Shayna Baslzer have been the dominant women’s tag team in the WWE since the fall and will be challenged by the Tag Team Turmoil match winners from Night 1. The Turmoil match might not have been the best display of women’s wrestling, but we should get a better one here with some strong talent in the ring.
