Each year, the NCAA men’s basketball tournament typically spans throughout the various NCAA regions across the US. However, the 2021 iteration of March Madness will be a bit different in the setting of the COVID-19 pandemic. Rather than spanning the tournament across the country, the NCAA is planning to play the entire tournament in the state of Indiana, with the majority of it in Indianapolis.
The tournament kicks off with the First Four on Thursday, March 18th. Those first four games will be split between Purdue University’s Mackey Arena in West Lafayette and Indiana University’s Simon Skjodt Assembly Hall in Bloomington.
The first round of tournament play will include some games at both facilities, but will also add the four Indianapolis facilities to the mix. Those include Bankers Life Fieldhouse, Hinkle Fieldhouse, Indiana Farmers Coliseum, and Lucas Oil Stadium. The second round and beyond will be played exclusively in Indianapolis.
Here are the locations for each round of the 2021 NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament.
