Breaking down the MAAC basketball tournament schedule

Taking a look at who, where and when for the MAAC Conference Championship, which will be hosted at Jim Whelan Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City, NJ.

The Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Men’s Basketball Championship stretches from March 8-13, with all games played at Jim Whelan Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City, NJ. The tournament will include 11 teams, who will play single-elimination games with no reseeding.

All games through the semifinals will be broadcast on ESPN+, with the semifinals on ESPNews, and the Final on ESPNU.

The Siena Saints are the No. 1 seed, following a 12-4 conference record where they weren’t swept in any of the doubleheader series that made up the entire MAAC schedule this season.

March 9

Game 2: No. 9 Iona 72-48 over No. 8 Quinnipiac
Game 3: No. 7 Fairfield 59-58 over No. 10 Manhattan

March 10

Game 4: No. 9 Iona 55-52 over No. 1 Siena
Game 5: No. 7 Fairfield 79-60 over No. 2 Monmouth

March 11

Game 6: No. 3 Saint Peter’s 75-60 over No. 11 Rider
Game 7: No. 5 Niagara 67-62 over No. 4 Marist

March 12

Game 8: No. 9 Iona 70-64 over No. 5 Niagara
Game 9: No. 7 Fairfield 52-47 over No. 3 Saint Peter’s

March 13 Championship Game

Game 10: No. 9 Iona 60-51 over No. 7 Fairfield

Iona advances to the NCAA Championship for the fifth-consecutive time with a MAAC win. As a school, they are 0-12 in the NCAA Tournament all-time.
