Pick against the spread, best player prop for Bucks vs. Grizzlies on Thursday

We go over some of the best betting options for Thursday’s matchup between the Milwaukee Bucks and Memphis Grizzlies.

Denver Nuggets v Milwaukee Bucks

The 10th-place Memphis Grizzlies will look to win their third straight as they host the third-place Milwaukee Bucks tonight at FedExForum. Memphis, while sitting relatively low in the western conference, are coming off big back-to-back wins against the Rockets and the Wizards. Prior to that, they split results against the Clippers, knocking them off 122-94 in their first meeting while dropping the second game by a score of 99-119. The Bucks will look to bounce back after taking a 97-128 beating from the Denver Nuggets a couple nights ago. With the league’s second-best offense averaging 119 points per game, they’ll look to dominate tonight in their last game before the All-Star break.

Bucks vs. Grizzlies, 8:00 p.m. ET, NBA League Pass

Pick ATS: Bucks -6

For the Bucks to cover this spread, they’ll need to rely heavily, once again, on Giannis Antetokounmpo who’s averaged 35.2 points over their last five games — just over six points higher than his overall season average of 29.1. His 27-point performance against the Nuggets was his first game scoring under 36 since February 19, which is a hugely impressive stat. He’s been absolutely monstrous for the Bucks and was instrumental in their five-game winning streak that just came to an end against Denver.

While the Grizzlies have looked decent on paper especially over their last couple games, the Bucks have averaged a higher total points per game throughout their last five outings, with a 119.6 PPG average compared to the Grizzlies’ 114.2 PPG. It looks to be a full-strength Milwaukee team tonight while Memphis will be without Grayson Allen (concussion protocol) and Jaren Jackson Jr (knee).

Player Prop: Giannis Antetokounmpo O12.5 rebounds (+100)

Through his last five games, Giannis has averaged 11.6 rebounds per game and has grabbed over 12 twice in that stretch. That includes an 18-rebound game against the Kings and another 14 against the Clippers. The Grizzlies are 13th in the league for rebounds allowed, so Giannis could have a heyday underneath the rim while he goes big on both ends of the court.
