Best NBA team stack for DFS on Tuesday, March 30th

Tuesday’s main NBA slate is a small one. Only four games are set to tip-off, but we’ve managed to identify one that has major fantasy upside on DraftKings.

Sometimes with a plus-matchup on the NBA game slate, we get an opportunity to slot multiple players from the same team into our DFS lineups. You can read more about the concept of stacking here, but the main goal is to take advantage of this plus-matchup and use the salary cap to your advantage.

Here, we’ll break the team stack for the NBA slate on Tuesday.

Charlotte Hornets vs. Washington Wizards, 7:00 p.m. ET

Russell Westbrook ($10,900)
Terry Rozier ($7,700)
Gordon Hayward ($7,600)
Devonte’ Graham ($6,100)
Rui Hachimura($6,000)

Only one game on the slate is worth stacking, in my opinion, and it happens to be the first matchup of the night. There’s a lot to like about this matchup. Let’s go over go over why stacking players from it could result in an optimal lineup.

Let’s talk about Russell Westbrook. Mr. triple-double willed the Bradley Beal-less Wizards to a win over the Indiana Pacers in his last outing with 35 points, 14 rebounds, and 21 assists to en route to 94.5 DKFP. It’s no secret that Westbrook will likely have a ridiculous usage rate again if Beal misses another game with a hip bruise, but his price has dropped by $100. The Hornets give up more assists per game (27.6) than any team in the NBA and rank 23rd against opposing point guards on DraftKings. This is a dream matchup for Westbrook if Beal doesn’t play.

Hachimura made up for the absence of the NBA’s scoring leader by pouring in 26 points in his last outing and will be a very important frontcourt player against a Hornets defense that ranks dead last against power forwards on DraftKings. He’ll continue to get more run than usual with Davis Bertans (calf) sidelined.

Now for the Hornets. Charlotte is only willing to use three point guards while LaMelo Ball is out, and Brad Wanamaker only logged 4 minutes in his Hornets debut against the Phoenix Suns. Graham and Rozier both played at least 39 minutes in Sunday’s double-overtime loss to the Suns and combined for 52 points against one of the NBA’s best perimeter defenses. Graham could be substituted for Malik Monk ($4,900), who is dealing with a foot injury and scored 32 points in his last game.

Hayward is in a bit of a slump and has dropped below 30 DKFP in three straight games, but has a real chance to dominate his matchup against 6’5” Garrison Mathews, who has a 116.6 defensive rating. Opposing teams have taken an average of nearly 13 shots per game on Mathews and are converting just under 50% of their attempts. If there’s a time for a bounce-back game from Hayward, it’s now.
