Pre-draft running back rankings for 2021 fantasy football

The 2021 NFL Draft is on the horizon while free agency has gone through its initial burst. That brings us to our next fantasy rankings update. We’ll take into account all of the signings, but will continue to steer clear of ranking rookies. These are based on .5 PPR scoring.

There weren’t any blue chip free agent running backs up for grabs after Aaron Jones signed back with the Packers and then Chris Carson did the same in Seattle. But there was movement that will push the rankings around.

Mike Davis, Mike Boone, and Phillip Lindsay all landed in spots they can make some noice, but Davis has the firmest grip on touches at the moment. The biggest movers will end up being draft picks. There are a handful of guys who will more than likely be instant fantasy relevant starters. But there is always a chance a player like Najee Harris or Travis Etienne lands in a committee to start their careers. While a great landing spot could elevate a player we didn’t expect to be a three-down back to start their time in the NFL.
