UPDATE: March 3, 6:40 p.m. — Sabonis is going to play and start Wednesday vs. the Cavaliers. McDermott and Lamb are also available to play. Dougie Mc is in the starting lineup as well.
Indiana Pacers All-Star PF Domantas Sabonis is being listed as questionable to play in Wednesday’s game vs. the Cleveland Cavaliers due to an ankle injury. Sabonis is expected to partake in All-Star weekend in the Skills Challenge and on the NBA All-Star Game for the Eastern Conference on Sunday. The Pacers have a back-to-back starting Wednesday and face the Denver Nuggets on Thursday before the break.
If Sabonis is sidelined, this is a good spot for the Cavaliers, who are on a rare winning streak. The Pacers have lost four in a row and appear ready to limp into the break. Cleveland is getting 6.5 points on DraftKings Sportsbook, which seems favorable. The over/under on that game is also somewhat high at 218.5. Without Sabonis, the Pacers offense would be missing a key component. Plus, Doug McDermott and Jeremy Lamb are both questionable. If all three are out, the line should move close to 3-4 points if not a pick ‘em.
As for DFS plays, we’ll need to see who ends up being out. Malcolm Brogdon ($7,900) would appear to be a good play. The Cavs aren’t a team that should dominate anyone despite injuries, so it could be a tight contest. Myles Turner ($6,000) would also be in a good spot. Aaron Holiday and Edmond Sumner are both under $4K and would have to play minutes if all three Pacers are sidelined.
