The Los Angeles Clippers host the Milwaukee Bucks to kick off the week after the fallout from trade deadline day. The Clippers are still without Serge Ibaka, Patrick Beverley and now Rajon Rondo, who was a deadline acquisition from the Hawks. The Bucks have dropped two straight after winning 13 of 14 games since the end of February. Let’s take a look at the lines and make some picks.
Bucks vs. Clippers, 10:00 p.m. ET, NBA TV
Pick ATS: Clippers -2.5
This was a tough one to call. The Bucks have lost two in a row and aren’t great on the road (11-9). Still, it’s Giannis and Milwaukee in a matchup of two top teams from both conferences. In these tight cases I think you have to go with the hotter team, which is the Clippers. L.A. just took down the Philadelphia 76ers by 10 points. If the injury reports stay clean, I’ll lean the Clippers way.
Player Prop: Marcus Morris O12.5 Points (-113)
The Clippers still won’t have Ibaka back in the lineup. Morris has been starting at PF and has scored at least 13 points in five of the past six games. The Bucks aren’t the same defensive team and are actually in the bottom third in the League in points allowed and opponent 3P%. Morris is getting most of his production from hot shooting from outside. If that continues, getting to the over shouldn’t be difficult.
