College basketball was unable to crown a champion in the 2019-20 season, so the Virginia Cavaliers remain the defending champs heading into this weekend’s NCAA Tournament. Who will be the next title winner in what has been a season we’ll never forget as we head into the Sweet 16? We’ve got a few teams we like based on their national championship futures odds on DraftKings Sportsbook.

Favorites

Two teams have separated themselves as the clear favorites to win it all in early April, and it’s the top-seeded Gonzaga Bulldogs and Baylor Bears. Gonzaga has been blowing out teams all season long even when they played quality competition in their non-conference slate. Baylor appears to have gotten back on the right track after not looking as good after a mid-February COVID-19 pause. The Bulldogs are getting +155 odds to cut down the nets with Baylor at +300 to get it done.

Sleepers

The Loyola Chicago Ramblers are getting so good at this NCAA Tournament thing that they probably aren’t as big of a sleeper, but this is still a No. 8 seed. Loyola can defend as well as any team in the country and is tied for the fourth best odds to win the title at +900. Additionally, the No. 3 seed Arkansas Razorbacks have quite a bit going for them. They draw a 15 seed to get to the Elite Eight, and they play about as fast as any team in the country, which could make any team uncomfortable. They have the eighth best title odds at +1700.

Dark Horses

If you’re looking for a long shot to cut down the nets in a couple weeks, you can look to the No. 11 seed Syracuse Orange and No. 7 seed Oregon Ducks. Oregon is playing at a high level right now and played really well down the stretch of the regular season, and they can get up for the big boys as we saw against Iowa. The Ducks are tied for the 13th best odds at +3100. Syracuse is dangerous as a double-digit seed, and they have a nice path to the Final Four. They will need to get past a beatable No. 2 seed Houston Cougars, followed by either a No. 8 or 12 seed. That alone could make the Orange worth a bet at +4500 odds, which is the 15th best odds among the 16 teams left.

Here are the odds to win the 2021 NCAA Men’s Basketball National Championship:
