MLB Opening Day for the 2021 season is only a few weeks away. After a shortened 2020 season, all 30 teams are starting with zero wins and the singular goal of winning the World Series. The Miami Marlins will be one of those teams looking to take a significant leap this season.

The Marlins finished last season with a record of 31-24 and second place in the NL East. We will be taking a look at their win total for this season and discussing if they will be going over or under using odds from DraftKings Sportsbook.

Miami Marlins Over 71.5 wins (-118)

Outside of the last season, where the Marlins had a record above .500 and went to the playoffs, they’ve been one of the worst teams in baseball. In the last five seasons, Miami has only gone over 71.5 wins twice in 2016 (79) and 2017 (77). The Marlins will not surprise many teams this season due to their excellent play. That being said, Miami should be able to win more than 71.5 games with the amount of talent that they have. Sixto Sanchez is one of the team’s best players and should be the ace by the time this season ends.
