MLB Opening Day for the 2021 season is only a few weeks away. After a shortened 2020 season, all 30 teams are starting with zero wins and the singular goal of winning the World Series. The San Diego Padres will be one of those teams looking to take a significant leap this season.

The Padres finished the season with a record of 37-23 and second place in the NL West. We will be taking a look at their win total for this season and discussing if they will be going over or under using odds from DraftKings Sportsbook.

San Diego Padres Under 94.5 wins (-112)

The Padres made it known last season that they are here to compete not only for the present but for the foreseeable future. San Diego has a dynamic offense led by Manny Machado and Fernando Tatis Jr. The Padres also have a good starting staff, which they upgraded the offseason with the acquisitions of Yu Darvish and Blake Snell.

Last season, the Padres got bounced by the Los Angeles Dodgers in the NLDS, but they should be a serious contender to be in the NLCS this season. The last time San Diego had more than 94.5 wins, you have to go back to 1998, where they won 98 games. The Padres should be good this season, but it’s tough to see them getting over that threshold.
